Rev: Britannia standing. Lions drawing a chariot led by a Genius holding Torch of Progress. On her right is Justice; on her left is Wisdom of the Nation with globe representing Britannia's extended sway.   .ANNUS. JUBILAEUS. 1887.

The 50th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s reign (Golden Jubilee) was celebrated throughout the country by many thousands of people. The occasion was marked by a variety of festivities and was commemorated by the issuance of several medals, including this one issued by the Corporation of the City of London.
