The 50th anniversary of Queen
Victoria’s reign (Golden Jubilee) was celebrated throughout the country
by many thousands of people. The occasion was marked by a variety of
festivities and was commemorated by the issuance of several medals,
including this one issued by the Corporation of the City of London.
